The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine Gains Freedom and Flexibility with Chairside eSignature Pads
The Client
Established in 1973, The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is nationally-recognized for the quality of its educational programs, its interdisciplinary research and its excellent clinical care programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of many of Colorado's most underserved citizens.
The Situation
With only a handful of old signature pads at their disposal, faculty and staff at The CU School of Dental Medicine dreamed of having chairside pads to use across their facilities. Their current system required patients to walk to the front desk to sign after being medicated—creating liability for the school and inconvenience for the patients.
The Opportunity
To make things easier, safer, and more efficient for everyone involved, the school made the decision to add signature pads to their more than 200 chairs.
The Decision
After looking at a range of different models from several manufacturers, a team of decision–makers comprised of the director, the administration, and faculty members went with the Compact LCD ST1550 ProScript from Scriptel.
They chose eSignature pads from Scriptel for a number of factors including:
- Easy integration with axiUm dental software
- Ability to work effectively with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
- Compatibility with VMware View
- Ease of use thanks to USB pass through
- Price point offering approximately 30% savings vs. competitors
"Scriptel's support during the buying and implementation process was great. They even bought one of the software clients we use so they could find solutions to issues we were having on our end."
—Ernesto Jamison, Infrastructure Engineer, University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine
The CU School of Dental Medicine is very happy with their decision to purchase eSignature pads from Scriptel and the level of support they continue to receive.
