axiUm Summit Show Trip Report
axiUm Summit is the annual conference The Exan Group, maker of axiUm Dental EHR software (and a part of Henry Schein) holds in Vancouver, BC, near its headquarters. The Summit is attended by users and partners. It is a focused event, with management and decision makers attending from axiUm’s various customers as well as all of the key people from Exan being in attendance. axiUm has the lion’s share of the Dental School market, but they also sell to large-scale dental practice networks and are in the process of extending their reach in that area.
Scriptel was given one of the best locations in the foyer area where the exhibit tables were located. The sponsorship included a listing in the Show App, as well as attendee download access to our brochure. We were also given mention in the Product Strategy portion of the keynote, given by the VP of Product Strategy Ryan Brandon. Ryan mentioned Scriptel’s improved performance within the Citrix environment, which subsequently created a flurry of interest for us! The Scriptel table was in an 8×6 space. We were given an 8 ft table that was used to display the 3 Scriptel signature pads that axiUm has qualified with their software. We also had copies of a highly targeted brochure, tailored for axiUm users, and an updated table backdrop with imagery specific to axiUm on the left panel, and a general Scriptel panel on the right side.
Event key points
We attended the opening keynotes given by the CEO Ted Devries, and other executives. We learned that axiUm’s strategy is to continue the desktop version of their software, axiUm, with a version 7.0 to be introduced mid- 2017. Also to be introduced, and just starting development is axiUm Cloud, which will be their first Cloud based effort. axiUm 6.10, for which Scriptel is integrated, will be in limited Beta release in the coming months.
We had the opportunity to meet the key players that we have worked with on our integration project, and this includes Joray Espiritu, Paul Delicana, Ryan Brandon, Alan Ruiz, Paula Brunton, and several new people including Product Manager Samir Boudjebla. Several of the tech support and other people from development stopped by to chat as well.
axiUm is VERY pleased with the experience they had working with Scriptel, and especially in working with the team in Rochester. The introduction of Scriptel at axiUm Summit was very successful and well received by end users. Scriptel looks forward to supporting axiUm and end users with our signature pads and Citrix Ready capability!
